With the drum programming moving in a more adventurous direction, with added percussion sounds filtering in from American techno, new beat started to take on a new shape in 1989. The very first interpretations of the impending ‘hoover’ phenomenon were starting to peer through the cracks and this small introductory section will hopefully shed a bit of light on the journey Belgian producers were taking on the way into full on hoover hysteria.

1.Little Little - Tickle Tickle (Acid Tickle Mix) - MG Records

An absolute corker of a track to start of the section, with that low slung acid riff and stomping drum pattern. Oooooff. Come on then.

2.Casa Nostra – Insomnia (Remix) - Target Records

3.Liaisons D - Future FJP - Music Man Records
