About Us

Welcome to the INSIDE DNB about us page!

We first started raving in 1990. We first started writing about raving in 1994. Back then it was more of an excuse to go out raving.

We’ve had spells with Eternity Magazine, which was the ravers bible back in the early 1990’s, and then Knowledge Magazine, which became the Global ‘go to’ for drum and bass music.

We’ve done a little bit for UKF too, and we also do this.

INSIDE DNB

Our sections are easy enough to navigate. but in case you wondered, the site comprises of:

TWITCH DRUM AND BASS

An introduction to the scene and the section.

TWITCH DRUM AND BASS DJ LINKS

A reasonably comprehensive list of the drum and bass DJ’s on Twitch from across the Globe with handy links to each channel. This section fluctuates by default. If you stream drum and bass on Twitch and you’re not on the list, hit us up and we will do our best to add you.

Until Twitch create a dedicated tag for drum and bass (and you can add your vote to make that happen here), this is about the best way to find out about the vast selection of drum and bass DJ’s on the platform.

TWITCH DRUM AND BASS DJ SHEDULES

We run a schedule service for Twitch drum and bass DJ’s that show stream times RELATIVE TO THEIR TIME ZONE. This is designed to help you find DJ’s that are in your time zone, but obviously you can drop in to whoever you want, whenever you want.

If you stream drum and bass on Twitch and you would like to be added to the schedule, you can complete the form here and we will do our best to add you.

TWITCH DRUM AND BASS STREAM TEAM LINKS

If you want to explore Twitch drum and bass further, you can join the various stream teams and dedicated Discord servers here.

INSIDE DNB GUEST MIXES

As you can probably guess, we host guest mixes from time to time and you can check them out in this section. If you like what you hear, drop a like and comment in the mix and show the DJ some support. Tell them INSIDE DNB sent you!

INSIDE DNB YOUTUBE PREMIERES

We offer labels a service to premiere new material on release day, and sometimes we manage to combine that with an interview. You can check out our YouTube premieres here. Be sure to subscribe if you visit the channel via our socials link at the top of the site page.

INSIDE DNB SOUNDCLOUD PREMIERES

As above, but via SoundCloud. This is our most popular premiere channel. Be sure to drop us a follow if you visit the channel via our socials link at the top of the site page.

OUR SPOTIFY HISTORY OF DRUM AND BASS PLAYLISTS

Not all of the classics are available on Spotify, but most are, and we have spent many hours (and are still) creating a playlist for every year of drum and bass’s incredible history, from the very beginnings in 1988/89 to the modern day. Drop us a follow if you like what you see! These playlists will always b a work in progress.

A CONTACT US PAGE

We welcome contact from anybody and everybody here at INSIDE DNB. Don’t be shy. Drop us a line and tell us your ideas.

And of course our regular interviews, articles and features, which you can find by hitting the main banner!

We have a rolling supply of Artist Interviews, DJ Profiles, Label Profiles, dedicated Twitch features, our ‘From The Vault’ section which features artists and/or tracks from the past, delving way back into the history of the scene, and our coveted ‘Legendary Status’ features, which are reserved for true VIP’s within the scene, meaning those with a certified pedigree, a long standing history or somebody highly influential.

This is our baby.

We are not web developers or experts in computer technology and social media.

What we are though, are lovers of drum and bass, lovers of people and art, lovers of community and the human spirit, and lovers of the art of helping others.

Our ethos is simple.

Be nice.

Be true.

Be creative.

Push boundaries.

Take risks.

That’s it.

Not everyone is going to like what we do. Not everyone will come back for a second visit. That’s okay with us. So long as we’re providing the best quality content that time allows, and sharing beats and bass and good vibes, then we’re happy.

We thank you for stopping by and we hope you enjoy what you see and hear.

We’re constantly evolving and coming up with new ideas.

Drop us a follow on the socials links at the top of the site or on the contact us page, and share our work if you like what you see, and get in touch if you have something to offer.

We don’t pretend to be anything we’re not.

We just love drum and bass, from it’s inception through to now, and we like to learn. The chances are if we’re learning, you might be learning too.

BIG UP GLOBAL DNB CREW. THIS ONE’S FOR YOU.
